Trauma-informed mental health, wellness, harm reduction, and community support for women, youth, and underserved communities across York Region and the Greater Toronto Area.
Challenges rarely exist in isolation. Mental health concerns can intersect with violence, trauma, housing instability, food insecurity, substance use, poverty and other systemic barriers. The Esteemed Life Foundation (TELF) works to help close the gaps between these realities through coordinated, trauma-informed and culturally responsive community support.
We meet people where they are and help create pathways toward safety, healing, stability and opportunity. Through mental health and wellness support, harm reduction, crisis response, skills development, advocacy and community partnerships, we work alongside individuals and communities to build lasting wellbeing.
Too many people face barriers to the support they need, especially when navigating mental health challenges, violence, substance use, housing instability, food insecurity and economic hardship. TELF helps bridge these gaps by connecting women, youth and underserved communities with practical, trauma-informed and culturally responsive support that promotes safety, dignity, wellbeing and greater stability.
Lasting change happens through collaboration. TELF works with community organizations, service providers, businesses, funders and local leaders to strengthen mental health and wellness supports, expand access to resources and build more responsive pathways to care. Together, we can reduce barriers, address inequities and create healthier, safer and more connected communities.
